General Information.

THE VILLA: The holiday villa in La Oliva which is situated inland to the north of the island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. The Canaries are famed for their superb all year round climate and with Fuerte lying just 80miles of the coast of Africa you can see why it enjoys such good weather.

 

The villa is comfortably furnished and can sleep six people maximum in three twin bedded rooms. The main bedroom has an en-suite shower room the other two share a large bathroom. There is a large kitchen/dining room which is fully equipped and ready to go, here you will find a cooker with full sized oven, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. Across from the kitchen is a large comfortable living room. To the rear of the villa is a patio and deck area with a pergola to provide some shade and a swimming pool to take a cooling dip. There is a BBQ available if you fancy a little al fresco cooking (strongly recommended).  Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided, these are changed weekly, please take your own beach towels as these are not provided.

 

LA OLIVA: La Oliva is around a 20 minute drive from the airport at Puerto del Resario. We strongly recommend a hire car to get around but if you really don’t fancy driving it is possible to use taxis and the local bus service to get around. The town serves as the area capital and is ideally placed for moving around. The town itself is small and quiet. There are a couple of small shops a few bars and a superb bakery. Over the last few years work has started on renovating some of the historical sites around the town such as the church which dominates the town centre, the Casa de Los Corroneles which was built by the Conquistadors and is one of the islands oldest buildings. There are several museums including an artisans museum. There is also a large community swimming pool (currently being refurbished).
